Chelsea are still determined to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice before the transfer window closes tomorrow evening. Frank Lampard is an admirer of the 21-year-old and wants him to be the final piece of his puzzle after a busy summer of bringing new players to the club.
Lampard has told the Chelsea board to pay whatever it takes to seal a deal for Rice, according to reports.
The mdifielder came through the youth system at Stamford Bridge but was released as a 14-year-old.
Rice has made over 100 appearances for West Ham and established himself as an England international in the process.
90min claim Lampard wants Chelsea to break the bank for the youngster.

The Hammers have previously put a £90m price tag on their prized asset but the Blues boss is not put off by that.
Some of the higher ups at Chelsea are unconvinced by Rice though leaving a move in the balance with the transfer deadline fast approaching.
Rice would be keen on a move to Stamford Bridge and the Blues are open to a swap deal as well.
West Ham are known to be interested in Ruben Loftus-Cheek who is down the pecking order under Lampard.

Chelsea have also looked at alternatives to Rice with Atletico Madrid star and Arsenal transfer target Thomas Partey on their shortlist.
Any move for the West Ham star could rely on other player sales to raise funds with the club spending over £300m this summer already.
Bayern Munich could provide a cash injection as they are interested in Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The Bundesliga champions have had a £70m bid rejected by Chelsea but could return with an improved offer.
Tiemoue Bakayoko, Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri could all leave the club before tomorrow night’s deadline.

After signing goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes, Lampard refused to rule out more incomings.
Asked about more business Lampard replied: “I honestly don’t have answers to the speculation of ins or outs going forward.”
When quizzed on West Ham midfielder Rice, Lampard continued: “Again they are rumours, I can’t talk about these things, but when players are ours it’s not my position to speculate on what may be, and it’s the same on the other side from players from other clubs. And I’ll continue that way.”
Chelsea don’t now return to action for two weeks while international football takes centre stage.
