Jack Grealish ‘can have Arsenal future’ with Villa star compared to Bergkamp

Arsenal are crying out for a player like Jack Grealish, says former Gunners star Gilberto Silva.

Grealish, 25, has enjoyed a superb start to the new season, with his tally of four goals and six assists helping Aston Villa occupy sixth place.

He has also become a key member of Gareth Southgate’s England squad, producing a breathtaking display in Sunday night’s 2-0 defeat away at Belgium.

If he continues to dazzle throughout the season, the midfielder will almost certainly land a lucrative move to one of the Premier League’s Big Six clubs or abroad at the end of it.

And Silva is desperate for Arsenal to get their hands on Grealish, even comparing him to club legend Dennis Bergkamp.

The Brazil World Cup winner said on The Invisible Wall podcast : “Grealish, amazing. It seems like he could be a player that Arsenal missed.

“With his ability, he was one of the guys in the middle who can play beautiful football.

“He controls the ball, assists and can score goals.

“He is slightly different from Dennis Bergkamp, but he could be somebody for the future at Arsenal.”

Grealish was one of several Villa men who impressed during their shock 3-0 win away at Arsenal prior to the international break.

The England star teed up Ollie Watkins for Villa’s second on the night and generally ran rings around Mikel Arteta’s men at the Emirates.

He has certainly impressed Arsenal youngster and Three Lions team-mate Bukayo Saka, who recently said: “He's a top player. When I came here the first time he was the player who impressed me the most in training.
