Manchester United lost striker Anthony Martial to a red card during the first-half against Tottenham after appearing to hit Erik Lamela in the face.
The pair clashed in the penalty area, with Lamela falling to the floor despite a light blow from Martial.
The Spurs man appeared to push his elbow towards Martial as the players jostled in the area.
But the United forward hit back, striking Lamela on the face causing him to fall to the floor.
United players contested the decision, but after a VAR check, Martial was sent down the tunnel.
Many Red Devils fans were fuming that Lamela wasn't also shown a straight red and sent for an early bath.
"Lamela you cheating B*****," one wrote.
"Lamela is a joke," another said.
If Martial had dived from Lamela's elbow then it would different story," a third added.
The sending off added to what was already an action-packed first-half at Old Trafford.
United won a penalty in the first-minute as Martial went down under a Davidson Sanchez challenge.
And Bruno Fernandes made no mistake as per usual from the spot.
That lead was ultimately short-lived, however, as Tanguy Ndombele netted an equaliser moments later.
Son Heung-Min then put Spurs in front in the seventh minute.

And after Martial's dismissal, things got worse for United.
Harry Kane made it three soon after, before Son again netted to make it 4-1 going into the half-time interval.
It remains to be seen whether Martial's red will be rescinded or not.
But the Frenchman is due to miss United's clash with Newcastle after the international break.
