Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele will look to leave the club during the summer transfer window after turning down a move to Manchester United – according to The Daily Mail. Dembele turned down the chance to sign on loan for United after Barca made a last-minute request to the winger.
Dembele appears to have no future at Barcelona after refusing to leave on deadline day.
Barca chiefs were eager to offload him in an attempt to raise funds for a move to sign Memphis Depay from Lyon, and Manchester City defender Eric Garcia.
Everything appeared to be set up for him to join United on a season-long loan, with United holding the option to buy him permanently next season.
United agreed to take him on loan and pay a sizeable fee, while also covering his wages for the duration of the spell.

But before the deal was completed, Barcelona chiefs decided they wanted Dembele to extend his contract with them by an extra year, in the event of him returning in a year.
The winger’s current contract will run until 2022, meaning he would have had just 12 months remaining if he returned to United at the end of the loan.
Barca would have then been in a difficult situation of potentially having to sell him for below his market value, or risk losing him on a free – a nightmare scenario considering they forked out £117million for him in 2017.
However, Dembele refused to extend his contract, and as a result, the loan was cancelled.

Barcelona chiefs are said to be furious with Dembele for refusing to cooprorate, and it seems he will now be sold in January instead.
The Mail claims Dembele will look for a move away from the Nou Camp once the window opens, giving United a potential boost if they wanted to re-ignite their interest.
The failure to offload the 23-year-old meant Barca had to pull the plug on their deal to sign Depay, despite having a deal agreed with the player and Lyon.
Last week, Koeman confirmed Dembele had been overtaken in the pecking order by teenage wonderkid Ansu Fati, furthering speculation the Frenchman’s time at the club was up.

Fati burst onto the scene at the Nou Camp aged just 16, and has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in recent years.
And Koeman conceded that, at the moment, it makes more sense for him to give the young Spaniard a try in the team than it would to play Dembele.
“We have a lot of competition in attack and a lot of quality,” he said.
“Dembélé can play on both sides, but we have many players to fit in.
“Ansu is ahead of Dembélé. If a player is unhappy, he can talk to me. But he has not spoken to me and I will be counting on him.”
