Richarlison details Ancelotti’s prediction for him after conversation at Everton

Richarlison has detailed a massive prediction from Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The Brazilian is preparing for a return to action on international duty, following a red-card ban picked up in the Merseyside derby following a tackle on Thiago Alcantara.

Scoring four goals and two assists for the Toffees before the suspension, he enjoyed a strong start to the campaign.

It means he is now on 32 goals for Everton since joining in 2018 and 65 for his career in more than 200 games.

Since Ancelotti arrived at Goodison Park, Richarlison has now scored 11 goals to help them sit seventh in the Premier League.

And the forward has revealed a big prediction the Italian has for his career.

Speaking ahead of Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Venezuela, the forward said: “He [Ancelotti] has already told me I will win the Ballon d’Or and that I will be leading scorer of many tournaments.

“I trust the man’s word because he’s an experienced guy.

“He has won pretty much everything and I only need to trust on his work, which I am doing.”

The Ballon d’Or is awarded every year to the player regarded as the best in the world, with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo winning 11 between them.

But Ancelotti has also warned his side, who lost their last game 3-1 to Manchester United, that they need to rediscover a spark if Richarlison wants to get near the honour.

He said: “The spirit in the second half was really good but at the same time there is disappointment as we didn't play with that spirit in the first half.

“Of course we have to improve. This period has been really bad, really unfortunate but it is gone.

“But next period I hope it will be better, it has to be better.”

Richarlison had to deal with a lot of hate mail following his red card after Brazil team-mate Neymar leaked his mobile number on Twitch.

It saw him receive 10,000 Whatsapp messages in five minutes – and has now seen the PSG forward get banned from the social media channel.
