WA’s champion jockey William Pike has picked up the ride on Caulfield Guineas favourite Ole Kirk.
Ole Kirk heads the TAB’s betting market at $4.50 after his win in the Group 1 Golden Rose at Rosehill on September 26.
Tommy Berry rode Ole Kirk to his Golden Rose win but will remain in Sydney to ride at Saturday’s Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes meeting at Randwick.
“I had my hand up for the ride after his last win and I’d be very happy to ride him in the Caulfield Guineas,” Pike said.
While Hawkes Racing has secured Pike for Ole Kirk in the Caulfield Guineas, the two-state operation has booked Craig Williams to ride Master Of Wine in the Caulfield Cup.

Master Of Wine finished less than a length from the winner Verry Elleegant in last Saturday’s Group 1 Turnbull Stakes (2000m) at Flemington.
TAB has Master Of Wine at $17 in Caulfield Cup betting.
Williams won the Caulfield Cup in 2011 and 2012 aboard Southern Speed and Dunaden, respectively.
He also finished second aboard the subsequent Melbourne Cup winner Vow And Declare last year.
